Be sure to pre-cook your breakfast sausage before you add it to any of these easy casseroles. This step can be done ahead of time, plus you can cook extra sausage for different casseroles.
- Take a large skillet and place it over medium heat or medium-high heat
- It’s optional to add any olive oil to the pan – I don’t add any extra oil to cook my sausage.
- Add your raw sausage meat (your favorite breakfast sausage) to the skillet
- Cook the sausage until it is golden brown
- Take a spatula and remove the sausage from pan onto some paper towels to absorb the excess grease.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or aluminum foil. Place them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freezer for up to 3 months.
