These have to be the easiest sheet pan nachos ever. My oldest son took a bite and said, “These taste like Taco Bueno.” And, when he said that I knew that I had a winner recipe! LOL! “Easy Sheet Pan Ground Beef Nachos”
This recipe was really easy to make and can be changed to fit your personal preferences on toppings, chips and on the meat added to it.
Typically, I would have added browned ground beef to my nachos, but I had some ground turkey and ground deer meat so that is what I used, but any type of meat can be added to these nachos as long as it is already cooked.
What goes in sheet pan nachos? (scroll down for printable recipe card)
- cooked meat – any type of meat can be used for example, ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey or slices of beef or chicken
- tortilla chips – I used regular tortilla corn chips, however you can choose flavored tortilla chips like, cheese Doritos, Spicy Doritos or Cool Ranch Doritos
- shredded cheese – I used a Colby jack mixture, however you can choose any type of cheese like, mozzarella, pepper jack or sharp cheddar cheeses.
- your favorite toppings
What toppings go on sheet pan nachos?
Again, the options are endless of toppings to add to your Easy Sheet Pan Ground Beef Nachos. There is not a wrong ingredient to add if you have a favorite one.
- shredded lettuce – I bought the bag of shredded lettuce at my local supermarket and it was so much easier than buying a head of lettuce and shredding it myself, lol
- chopped tomatoes – again I bought a container of pico del gallo at my local grocery store instead of cutting up tomatoes and onions
- chopped onions
- sliced black olives
- shredded cheese or cheese sauce
- jalapenos (optional)
- sour cream
- chopped avocado or guacamole – I bought a container of already made guacamole instead of making my own.

How do I make sheet pan nachos (scroll down for printable recipe card)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees f
- If you are using a ground meat, you will need to cook it in a large skillet over medium heat until it is brown and fully cooked. Set it aside until you are ready to assemble the sheet pan nachos.
- Take a large baking sheet or sheet pan and spray with a nonstick cooking spray
- Add a single layer of tortilla chips to your sheet pan
- Add a layer of the browned ground beef
- Sprinkle on a layer of shredded cheese
- Place sheet pan into the oven and bake until the shredded cheese is completely melted
- Once cheese is melted remove the pan from the oven
- Chop up your toppings
- Add shredded lettuce to the top of the melted cheese
- Add the pico del gallo and black olives
- Spoon on dollops of sour cream and gaucamole
- Add optional jalapenos and any other of your favorite toppings
- Serve and enjoy!

Here's an easy and delicious recipe that the entire family will love.
Ingredients
- 1 bag (11-13oz) tortilla chips
- 2 lbs cooked & brown ground beef
- 2 cups of shredded cheese
- 1 bag (16oz) of shredded lettuce
- favorite toppings: I used sliced black olives (small can), pico del gallo, sour cream and gaucamole
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees f

Can I add chicken to my nachos instead of beef? Yes, chicken is a great idea. You can use any leftover chicken, shredded chicken or a rotisserie chicken. Just as long as the chicken is cooked before you add it to your sheet pan nachos.
How do I store leftover sheet pan nachos? Once your nachos has cooled completely, you can place your leftovers into an airtight container or a Ziploc bag and place into the refrigerator for up 3 days.
Will the chips in my sheet pan nachos get soggy? The chips will become soft after they have been refrigerated. The next day your nachos chips will be soft, but still yummy!
