For as long as I can remember, we have always made our own pizza sauce. It contains ingredients that we always had on hand, whereas if you forget to buy the pizza sauce at the store, you can improvise.
They say homemade is better and this sauce is sure to not disappoint!
This sauce is packed full of flavor with spices like parsley, oregano and garlic powder. Of course, I like a little sugar in it to add just a bit of sweetness.

This pizza sauce has the perfect blend of spices. Plus, it’s a super quick and easy recipe that you can make in just a little bit of time.
Of course, you can easily alter and tweak any of these ingredients to you liking.
Ingredients –
If you are a person that has a cabinet full of spices, more than not, you probably have all the spices in your cabinet already.
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Oregano
- Italian Seasoning
- Parsley Flakes
- Celery Seeds
- Sugar
- Salt
- Tomato Sauce
Ok, so my mom never put celery seeds in her sauce, but I tweaked the recipe a little, lol. I also don’t ever remember her putting onion powder in it, but I decided to change it even a little more.
She probably just added Italian seasoning, garlic powder and sugar. Which would still be a great sauce. I’m just trying to say that you can easily adjust the ingredients as to whatever you have on hand.
If you going to make homemade pizza, why not go all out and make the sauce from scratch too.
