This candy could or will be so addicting that you will be making it for every occasion or Holiday, LOL!
The salty and the sweet mixed together and then it’s topped with melted chocolate. Need I say anymore??? PLUS, ONLY 4 ingredients and any optional sprinkles that you would like to add. Remember, that you can change the type of sprinkles for any occasion, birthday or Holiday.

What do I need to make Christmas Crack Candy?
- 9 x 12 inch baking sheet or cookie sheet
- 2 quart pot
- wooden spoon
- heat resistant silicone spatula
- aluminum foil (optional, but easy clean-up)
- non stick cooking spray
Tips!
- MAJOR TIP!! Be sure to bring to a FULL ROLLING BOIL and then cook for 5 minutes, because it will not set up if you miss this step!
- Change up the recipe and add any type of chopped nuts, sprinkles or candies
- The sprinkles can be changed for any occasion or Holiday
- Exchange the chocolate chips for any type of chocolate chips, for example: white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips or mint chocolate chips
- The saltine crackers could be exchanged with Ritz crackers, graham crackers, or pretzels
- Store candy in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and place into the refrigerator for up to 5 days
- Candy can be place into the freezer for up to 3 months

- Place aluminum foil on to baking sheet and spray foil with non stick cooking spray
- Add one layer of saltine crackers onto the aluminum foil
- Take cooking pot and place over medium high heat
- Add butter and brown sugar
- Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 5 minutes (stirring often)
- Pour brown sugar/butter mixture over the saltine crackers and spread with a spatula
- Place in a 350 degree f oven for 5 minutes, then remove from oven
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the sugar butter mixture and let set for 2 minutes (they will slowly melt)
- Spread chocolate with spatula over crackers
- Place baking sheet in freezer for 45 minutes
- Once completely set, crack up into pieces or cut up with a sharp knife
- Store candy in an airtight container or Zip-loc bag and place into the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
