Mushroom Chicken with Bowtie Pasta Sauce

This is the most amazing, creamy sauce that you will ever make! The garlic and the mushrooms will make this one pot meal a hit at your Dinner table.

Who doesn’t love a one pot dinner meal recipe???? I know that I do! This recipe is easy and with only a few ingredients that you will find at your local grocery store.

How do I make Mushroom Chicken?

  1. Take a large quart pan and place over medium high heat
  2. Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter
  3. Once the oil and butter are hot add the boneless skinless chicken thighs to the pot
  4. Add salt and black pepper to the chicken thighs
  5. Cook chicken until it has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees and is browned on the outside
  6. While the chicken thighs are cooking, cook the pasta as directed on the package, rinse and set aside
  7. Remove the chicken thighs from the pan
  8. Add diced onions and saute until the onions are translucent and brown
  9. Pour the chicken broth, minced garlic and cream of mushroom soup into the pot and whisk to combine
  10. Add flour to thicken the sauce, whisk and simmer for 5 minutes
  11. Add the sliced mushrooms and simmer for approximately 5 minutes
  12. Add the cooked chicken thighs and the cooked pasta to the pot
  13. Combine with a wooden spoon and simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes
  14. Serve with optional green onions on top

  • 16 oz box of bowtie noodles
  • 1 package of mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 24 oz of chicken broth
  • 2 Tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1/8 cup of all purpose flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
