I have never made a cookie as perfect as these! Seriously y’all, I’m not being partial. I have absolutely never made a cookie that looked and tasted this good! And, the best thing about these Orange Dream Cookies is that they are only 4 ingredients.
Talk about a cookie that has the perfect crispness on the outside and holds up on it’s own very well. But, it has the perfect soft middle that almost just melts in your mouth! Add an orange flavor and some white chocolate chips and talk about heaven!
I had to put about half the batch into the freezer to save for later because I don’t have any self control with these cookies. But, the great thing is that they freeze very well! Let’s just hope that I can keep myself from pulling one out at a time and eating them all.
What makes these cookies so easy? The fact that they are made out of a boxed cake mix! I’m serious! I would have never thought that a cake mix could make a perfect cookie, but I was wrong.
I will probably never make another cookie from scratch again, lol. These are very easy to make and can be customized in so many different ways!
And, you don’t have to use just an orange cake mix, you could use any flavor!
- Strawberry
- Pineapple
- Devils Food
- German Chocolate
- White
- Yellow
Plus, Just think of all the add ins that you could add to them.
- Chocolate chips
- M&M’s
- Reeses Pieces
- Mini Marshmallows
- Sprinkles….The list could go on forever.

Tips –
- It’s best to refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes before you roll it into balls. The dough can be sticky and this helps. After I refrigerated my dough, I didn’t have any trouble rolling it into balls
- Be sure to NOT over bake these cookies! This is a big key to them having the perfect texture. You do NOT want them to brown in the oven any! Once you take them out of the oven they will cool and set perfectly! I only baked mine for 10 minutes exactly and they were absolutely perfect!
- Once the cookies have completely cooled, you can put them in a bag and freeze them. Then you can just pull them out when needed. I would pull them out about 2 hours before I served them and lay them out flat (not on each other) while they thaw, so they won’t stitch to each other.
- You can add a few extra chocolate chips to each cookie after you roll them into balls before you cook them. This way you will be able to see the chocolate chips on the top once they have baked.

Making them is super simple! You basically just add all your ingredients into a bowl, mix, refrigerate, roll into balls and bake.
Start by adding your cake mix, oil and eggs into the bowl.
Mix well. This is what it’ll look like
Stir in the white chocolate chips
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before rolling into balls.
Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet, spray with oil and place cookies about 2” apart. I just roll them into about tablespoon balls with my hands.
Bake on 350Ā° for 10 minutes. Cookie may still look slightly soft in the middle but this is perfect. Do NOT over bake them. That is the key to the perfect cookie!
