This has got to be one of the easiest recipes that I have every made, LOL! These tacos basically only have 3 ingredients, plus onions which are optional. “3 Ingredient Chili Cheese Soft Tacos”
This recipe takes only minutes to prepare and about 15 minutes in the oven to heat the meat up and melt the cheese.
What is in chili cheese soft tacos? (scroll down for printable recipe card)
- fajita flour tortillas
- chili or chili with beans
- shredded cheese
- onions (optional)
- non-stick cooking spray
How do I make chili cheese soft tacos? (scroll down for printable recipe card)
- Gather your supplies of flour tortillas, canned chili, shredded cheese, optional chopped onion.
- You will also need a baking dish, spoon, and if you would like onions then you will also need a knife and a cutting board
- You will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees f
- Take your baking dish and spray it with a non stick cooking spray
- This recipe will make 12 soft tacos if you are using the fajita size flour tortillas
- Add a 1-2 tablespoons of chili to each tortilla, sprinkle on a little cheese on top of the chili and the optional onion
- Fold over the tortilla like you would a taco and set it into the pan standing up
- Repeat with the rest of the tortillas, setting them up next to each other in the baking dish
- Sprinkle some shredded cheese over the chili cheese soft tacos
- Place baking dish into the preheated oven
- Cook for approximately 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and hot
- Serve and enjoy!
Here’s some different tips!
- Add a variety of different fillings, for example: cooked taco meat or grilled chicken
- Add tomatoes, Rotel or jalapenos to the taco filling
- Pour red or green enchilada sauce on top of the soft tacos
- Serve with sides of Spanish rice, refried beans or chips and salsa
- Serve with sour cream, guacamole or picante sauce
