I have been on the keto diet for the past couple of years and I need those go to recipes that are easy and I can keep on hand.
This keto sausage ball recipe is easy to make. Basically, you add all the ingredients to a bowl, mix, form into balls and bake in the oven. Usually, I will double or triple the recipe, so that I can have these keto Sausage cheese balls in my freezer at all times.
I place them into a gallon Zip-loc freezer bag for storage in my freezer and then I just take a couple out of the freezer and microwave. They are a low-carb snack that comes in handy when you are tired and don’t know what to cook.

If you don’t like pepper jack cheese you may substitute any cheese like, mild cheddar, sharp cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, colby cheese or parmesan cheese. Also, the sausage could be substituted with a different meat like, ham, bacon, pepperoni or ground beef. The options are really endless.
Great Aldi Buys:
For most of my ingredients, I do purchase at Aldi Supermarket. I have found that the butter, cheese and eggs are cheaper at Aldis. You will need to purchase block cheese and then shred the cheese, because the pre-shredded cheese does have more net carbs than the block cheese.
This will save on net carbs, because the shredded cheese that you buy at the store has potato starch on it to prevent sticking, which increases the net carbs.
Almond flour can be purchased at Amazon online or at any local supermarket.

These following simple ingredients are not in this keto sausage ball recipe, however they could be added to the original sausage mixture recipe.

- replace the almond flour with coconut flour
- replace the almond flour with crushed pork rinds (blend up pork rinds in a food processor)
- replace the almond flour with regular flour (for those who are not on a keto diet)
*The sausage can be any brand of breakfast sausage; Farmland, Potters or Jimmy Deans. These come in 1 pound packages, but they can be in links or patties, but since it’ll be mixed up raw with the other ingredients than it is easier to buy a 1 pound package and cheaper.
