Goulash was a meal that my momma cooked weekly when I was growing up. Every week I knew that we were going to eat goulash and we loved it.
My momma would cook smashed potatoes and corn on the side to go with our goulash. Sometimes, she would fry up some cornbread, oh my, so yummy!
The only thing that I do differently when cooking my goulash is that I add ketchup to mine and my momma would never have added goulash, LOL. But, my kids and Gerald like ketchup in their goulash, so I add ketchup to ours.
Plus, this is a meal that can be made even cheaper, by adding extra noodles, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. If you are on a budget and need to serve either a lot of people or have extra for lunches, simply add the extra noodles, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. This will insure that this meal goes even farther for less money.
