As a stay at home mom I love easy meals that I can toss simple ingredients into a crockpot and let it cook. For some reason the “What’s for Dinner?” question is a never ending question. I sometimes wonder if that question will always be the hardest decision of the day, lol.
My kids love frozen meatballs, so this recipe was kid approved! This crockpot spaghetti and meatballs has only 3 ingredients, plus water, which we don’t count, because everyone has water on hand, lol. You simply toss these few ingredients into your crockpot, turn it on and let it cook.
You will cook this meal on low for about 2.5 hours and I love to add garlic cheese bread as a side dish. And, of course, I just buy the frozen garlic toast from my local grocery store.

- garlic bread or dinner rolls – you can purchase garlic bread or garlic cheese at your local grocery store. However, you can also make your own garlic bread with plain white bread or French bread. Simply spread butter onto the bread, sprinkle with garlic powder, add shredded cheese and bake at 350 degrees f. until cheese is melted.

- Add frozen meatballs, noodles and water
- Give it a stir halfway thru the cooking process
- Cook on low for 2.5 hours until the pasta is done.

Do I need to cook my meatballs before I add them to the crockpot? This recipe calls for frozen meatballs that are located in your freezer section at your local supermarket. Usually, these meatballs come fully cooked and require no cooking, but they only need reheating. So, for this crockpot recipe you will not need to cook the meatballs, as long as you buy the fully cooked ones.
Do I need to cook my pasta before I add it to the crockpot? For this recipe I chose to add the pasta uncooked to the pasta sauce and simmer on low. However, you do have the option of cooking your pasta ahead of time and then adding it to the crockpot and simmer on low until the meatballs have fully reheated.
Can I add cheese to my spaghetti? Yes, you can add any kind of cheese. Typically, shredded mozzarella cheese is used, however I use what kind of cheese that I have on hand. So, pick your favorite cheese and add it to your spaghetti.

- 45 oz jar of pasta sauce
- 20 oz bag of frozen meatballs
- 4 cups water
- 1 box (16oz) spaghetti noodles
