3 Ingredient Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars

If you need a quick, 3 ingredient dessert this is the PERFECT recipe! It is almost just like rice crispy treats, except I picked a different cereal. I added cinnamon toast crunch cereal and when you pair it with the buttery marshmallows, it is SO YUMMY! Y’all, should give my 3 ingredient Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Bars a try!

This dessert recipe has the easiest ingredients ever! Only 3 ingredients that you can find at any local grocery store or supermarket. Plus, you have the option of choosing any of your favorite cereals. There are so many different cereals at the store, so the possibilities are endless.

  • cinnamon toast crunch cereal – or you can choose ANY kind of your favorite cereals. The grocery stores have tons to choose from, so get creative.
  • marshmallows
  • butter

How do I make 3 ingredient cinnamon toast crunch cereal bars? (scroll down for printable recipe card)

  1. Prepare a 9×9 pan by spraying the pan with a nonstick cooking spray
  2. Take a large sauce pan and place it over medium heat
  3. Add the butter to the sauce pan and begin to melt the butter
  4. Once the butter is almost completely melted add the bag of marshmallows
  5. You will need to take a wooden spoon or spatula and constantly stir the butter and marshmallows
  6. Once the marshmallows are completely melted turn off the heat and remove the pan from the stove
  7. Take the wooden spoon or a spatula and combine the cereal and marshmallows completely covering the cereal
  8. Pour the mixture into the 9×9 pan and press down the cereal evenly into the pan
  9. You can either place this pan into the freezer for 15 minutes or wait and once the cereal has cooled then place it onto some parchment paper on a baking sheet and freeze. In my above cooking video, I had done the second suggestion, but the next time I will just place my 9×9 pan into the freezer.
  10. Once the bars are solid, cut and enjoy.

Can I choose an off brand of cereal?

YES! You can choose an off brand of cereal. Plus, you can choose ANY cereal that you would like to make cereal bars with.

Can I add different toppings to my cereal bars?

YES! Again, get creative and add different or extra toppings to the top of your cereal bars, for example:

  • chocolate chips are any kind of chocolate chips
  • sprinkles
  • crushed candy bars
  • crushed cookies
  • nuts: chopped pecans, walnuts or peanuts
  • Add peanut butter to the recipe or peanut butter chips
  • candied fruit
  • eat warm and add a scoop of ice cream

How do I store leftover cereal bars?

IF you have any leftovers they can be stored very easily. Place the leftovers into an airtight container or into a Zip-loc bag and these leftovers can be kept at room temperature for up to 5 days. They also can be frozen for up to 3 months.
