When Summertime hits, so does the Fried Spam sandwiches and Fried bologna sandwiches!
Spring and Summer are busy times with gardening and after a day of working in the garden, I don’t want to come inside and cook a big meal. So, we will have sandwiches with fresh garden tomatoes and onion. And, maybe some Van Camp Pork n Beans and chips on the side. YUMMY!
Spam can of course be eaten cold or cooked. I love to fry my Spam in a skillet and get it really brown and crispy. Of course, Spam can be ate right out of the can.
After choosing how you would like your Spam, the next choice is mayo or mustard?? My favorite is mustard! Yum!
Next, cheese or no cheese, lol. I don’t add cheese to my Spam sandwiches, but you definitely could add a slice of cheese.
My favorite veggies to add to a Spam sandwich are fresh garden tomatoes and purple onion. But, you can always add lettuce or pickles too
Mustard or Mayo?? The biggest debate of the century LOL!
Of course, this is a personal preference. So, I can only tell you how I like my Spam sandwiches and that is with MUSTARD! It is SO yummy with the really crispy FRIED SPAM, my mouth is watering as I type, LOL! But, of course, if you favor mayo then you should definitely add mayo. BUT, maybe sometime JUST TRY mustard, LOL.
