- Chuck pot roast – this is the beef that I found at the grocery store. It was cheaper to buy a roast and slice it up than to buy smaller pieces of meat.

- Ground beef – this would be the cheapest meat to add to this casserole dish

What seasonings do I add to my keto casserole?
I like simple ingredients (salt and black pepper), but at your local supermarket there are hundreds of seasonings! For this broccoli dish I bought a seasoning called “Chili Lime”
However, any seasoning or stir fry sauce will work for that extra flavor.

What kind of broccoli do I put in a broccoli casserole?
Fresh broccoli florets are always better, but if you don’t cook them they can go bad in your refrigerator. Or, this is the case at my house, lol. So, I keep bags of frozen broccoli florets to cook on those busy weeknights for the entire family to enjoy.
Can I add cheese to my keto recipes? What kind of cheese can I add to my broccoli cheese casserole?
- Parmesan cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Sharp cheddar cheese

There are a lot of differences flavors that you can add to this beef mixture. For example, you can add beef broth, sour cream, or heavy cream.
What can I replace the broccoli with? Other low-carb options!
If you don’t like broccoli you can replace it with cauliflower rice and have a delicious meal. Another great idea is to buy cauliflower rice tater tots!
What supplies do I need to make a keto, low carb broccoli casserole or keto ground beef casserole?
- Large skillet
- Cutting board and knife to slice up the beef
- Spatula
- Baking dish – you will only need a baking dish if you decide to make a cheesy ground beef casserole – by adding shredded cheese and baking in the oven.

- Add beef or ground beef to skillet
- Add seasonings to the meat

- After the beef is brown, place broccoli into the pan and add a lid to retain the moisture.
- Once you have tender broccoli the meal is done. Unless, you want to add cheese or a broccoli sauce. This can be done 2 different ways. Either add the cheese to this skillet or you can take a casserole dish, spray with nonstick cooking spray, add the meat mixture broccoli into the pan, sprinkle with cheese and bake until cheese is melted.

- 2.5 lbs of beef - chuck roast beef, sirloin steak or ground beef
- 2 lbs frozen broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Chili Lime seasoning or your favorite seasonings

How do I store leftovers?
If you have any extra leftovers place them into a small bowl for the next day meal. Place other leftovers into an airtight container or add aluminum foil to the top of a baking dish and place into the refrigerator or freezer. Leftovers will be good in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and 3 months in the freezer.
