I love recipes with only a few ingredients! And, I believe that most women do too. This recipe has only 4 ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store.
What ingredients are in parmesan garlic chicken? (scroll down for the full printable recipe card)
- Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce – but any brand or kind of sauce can be used in this recipe. Choose your favorite sauce
- Panko crumbs – you can use either panko crumbs or bread crumbs. Even just all purpose flour would work too.
- Parmesan cheese – I chose parmesan cheese for this recipe, but you could add any kind of cheese to the top of the chicken. Below, I will give you some different examples of cheeses to choose from.
- Skinless, boneless Chicken tenderloin strips – chicken breast will work, but they will take longer to cook, because of their thickness
What kind of cheese for parmesan garlic chicken?
Many kinds of cheese can be used in this recipe. I did choose to add grated parmesan cheese to the top of my chicken, however you can use any of the following:
- grated parmesan cheese
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- shredded pepper jack cheese
- shredded colby jack cheese or sharp cheddar cheese
How do I make parmesan garlic chicken (scroll down for the full printable recipe card)
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees f
- Prepare a baking sheet with either parchment paper or spray it with a nonstick cooking spray
- Fill 1 pan or bowl with the parmesan garlic sauce (optional to add a little water or milk if sauce is too thick) and to another pan or bowl add the panko crumbs
- Take each piece of chicken and dip it into the sauce and then into the panko crumbs
- Place dipped chicken onto the prepared baking sheet
- Place baking sheet into the oven for approximately 25 minutes
- Remove the chicken from the oven and add the parmesan cheese
- Bake until the internal chicken reaches 165 degrees f. My chicken did take 45 minutes to completely cook, however I used chicken tenderloin strips that were not huge in thickness or size. So, the cooking time could vary. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of your chicken.

- 12 oz jar Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce
- 8 oz panko crumbs
- Parmesan cheese
