
I’ll have to admit that Gerald taught me this recipe. Lol. After we had married Gerald loved cooking and my mom had never made these “Egg in a Basket” or “Egg in a hole” as some call them. There are so many different names for them.
But, they are simple and sometimes we will even have these for supper, so this isn’t just a breakfast idea. I love that this recipe only requires a couple items that most people have on a hand and they are cheap to make. So, I hope that ya’ll enjoy Gerald’s recipe!

This recipe has only a couple simple ingredients that can be purchased at your local grocery store.
- eggs
- bread
- butter
- optional salt and black pepper

How do I make Egg In A Basket? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)
- Place a medium size skillet over medium high heat.
- Add butter to the skillet.
- Take a cookie cutter and press out a circle in each slice of toast.
- Place the toast into the skillet and break one egg into each hole of the toast.
- Add optional salt and black pepper.
- Cook until done on one side and with a spatula flip the toast over.
- Cook until the egg is how you like it cooked.
- Enjoy.

Instructions
