This recipe has only a couple simple ingredients that can be purchased at your local grocery store.
- chicken tenderloins – chicken breasts or thighs
- smoked paprika
- garlic powder
- black pepper
- salt
- chili powder
- cumin
- onion powder
- bbq sauce
- brown sugar
- bacon
- cheese



How do I make BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)
- Preheat oven at 375 degrees f.
- Place large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add bacon to the skillet and cook.
- Remove bacon from skillet and add the chicken to the bacon grease.
- Add seasonings: smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin and onion powder.
- Sear chicken until it has some color.
- Take a baking sheet and add aluminum foil and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the chicken on the baking sheet.
- Add a mixture of the brown sugar and bbq sauce to the top of the chicken.
- Place a half slice of bacon onto each piece of chicken.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove chicken from oven and add the shredded cheese to each piece of chicken.
- Bake until cheese is melted. You can also broil for a few minutes to add some color to the cheese.
