Onion, Beef Fried Rice

This is an AMAZING recipe!  The simple ingredient list makes it so easy to prepare and I love that I can find all the ingredients at my local supermarket.

A delicious meal that will have your family asking for seconds and thirds, LOL. This recipe will feed 6-8 people with side dishes added to the meal.

What is in an Onion, Beef Fried Rice? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)

This recipe has only a couple simple ingredients that can be purchased at your local grocery store. 

  • cooked white or brown rice – long grain or instant rice
  • ground beef – ground turkey, ground chicken or ground sausage can also be used. Also, you could dice up some smoked sausage
  • pepper and onion blend – or you can just add a diced onion of any color
  • frozen vegetables
  • garlic powder – or you can use minced or real garlic
  • soy sauce
  • sesame oil
  • black pepper and salt
  • optional brown sugar

How do I make an Onion, Beef Fried Rice? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)

  1. Take a large skillet and place it over medium heat
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until done
  3. Add the garlic powder, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, salt, brown sugar (optional), pepper & onion blend, frozen vegetables and cooked rice
  4. Stir until blended
  5. Place a lid on the skillet and cook on medium until the vegetables are soft. Stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve and enjoy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1-2 cups pepper & onion blend or 1 medium diced onion
  • 1 bag (10oz) frozen vegetables
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper, optional salt
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

How do I store leftovers?  Place cooled leftovers into an airtight container then place them into the refrigerator for up to 3 days or into the freezer for up to 3 months.
