Oven Buttery Potatoes

Oven potatoes in aluminum foil

This is a family favorite that I have cooked for years. Plus, what could be easier than potatoes, butter, salt and black pepper. Toss it all in the oven and let it bake! Yummy!

Great Idea!

Another idea that my kids LOVE is to add a can of chili and shredded cheese to the top of the potatoes. Oh my yum!!

This recipe has only a couple simple ingredients that can be purchased at your local grocery store.

  • potatoes
  • butter
  • salt
  • black pepper

How do I make Oven Buttery Potatoes? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  2. Take a baking sheet and place aluminum foil onto it. Enough to roll up the sides and cover the potatoes.
  3. Spray the aluminum foil with a nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Wash, peel and dice up the potatoes.
  5. Add the potatoes to the aluminum foil.
  6. Add the butter, salt and black pepper to the top of the potatoes.
  7. Wrap up the potatoes in the aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
Yield: 4-6 servings
