Off brand chicken stuffing $0.97, off brand chicken $1.24 x 2, off brand cream of chicken $0.70, off brand cream of celery $0.70, 1 cup chicken broth $0.41.

The simple ingredient list makes it so easy to prepare and I love that I can find all the ingredients at my local supermarket.

This recipe has only a couple simple ingredients that can be purchased at your local grocery store.

  • chicken flavored stuffing mix – any brand will work or flavor
  • chicken – any cooked chicken, canned, rotisserie or leftover chicken will work
  • cream of chicken soup – any brand will work
  • cream of celery soup – any brand will work
  • chicken broth – any brand will work
  • melted butter

  • green beans
  • corn on the cob or can of corn
  • salad
  • sweet potatoes
  • smashed potatoes
  • potato salad
  • broccoli cheese casserole
  • any of your favorite vegetables
  • dinner rolls or light bread

What other ingredients can I add to my Cheap Chicken and Stuffing Bake?

  • diced onion
  • diced celery
  • chopped boiled eggs
  • cooked turkey or sausage instead of chicken
  • leftover biscuits

How do I make a Cheap Chicken and Stuffing Bake? (scroll down for the printable recipe card)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f
  2. Take a 9×13 baking dish and spray it with a nonstick cooking spray
  3. Drain the chicken broth from the cans of chicken into the baking dish and also add the soups, an extra 1 cup of chicken broth and melted butter
  4. Take a whisk and mix well
  5. Add the chicken from the cans and add the box of chicken stuffing mix
  6. With a spoon mix well to insure all of the stuffing is coated
  7. Place a sheet of aluminum foil over the baking dish
  8. Bake for 30 minutes then remove the aluminum foil
  9. Stir
  10. Bake an additional 25 minutes without the foil
  11. Remove from oven and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz box Chicken Flavored Stuffing Mix
  • 2 (12.5oz) cans of undrained chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f
  2. Take a 9x13 baking dish and spray it with a nonstick cooking spray
  3. Drain the chicken broth from the cans of chicken into the baking dish and also add the soups, an extra 1 cup of chicken broth and melted butter
  4. Take a whisk and mix well
